On our way back to Canada we drove along the top of Idaho and half of Washington. This is such beautiful country, we found ourselves stopping in many towns and we took many detours to visit so many picturesque places.
Priest River Park
This fun afternoon pit stop gave us great river access to play in. The water was full of flecks of fools gold (iron pyrite). The park had a swimming area on the side of the river which Seth loved! There was also a campground there so you could stay longer in this fun spot.
This waterfall was just off to the side of the road so it only took us a few minutes to visit. When we can take such short pit stops without any other people, I like to get Moki out so she can walk around and smell all the unique new smells.
Such a cute little town, not much there though, only the coolest city park I have ever been to! First it was massive, and was full of really tall shade trees. The cool part was that it also had old school (most places wouldn’t deem these types of play structures as safe anymore) play structures such as merry-go-rounds that are built for riders to hang by their hands, not stand on.
Oroville is on the south end of Osoyoos Lake (warmest lake in Canada I believe). We pulled off into a little park/boat dock to have our breakfast. There were plenty of perfect climbing trees, ducks, and of course being morning the lighting was ideal.
